                                                            Mini-Paper #1

The country of Tanzania could be one of the poorest countries in the world (World Geography). But, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t function the same way as every other country. It runs the same way as every other country but doesn’t use as much money or have much money.

Tanzania is a United Republic form of government. The leader is Jakaya Kikwete. They have always been a United Republic form of government. They run the same government as us but are freer to do what they want. But they still are in trouble as a country due to the fact their economy is terrible.

Tanzania is one of the poorest countries in the world. They have a very large external debt. Although, the people are free to trade whatever they want. Tourists are welcomed in this country. Not many cool destinations some mosques stuff like that. But really there aren’t many cool destinations for people to stop off.

They have a very good foreign policy. They allow other countries to come to them and visit and discuss trade. Tanzania is a part of the United Nations. They have been since 1961. The US and this country have historically good relations. They are very close to one another. Their strongest ally would be the US. They don’t have enemies because they keep good relations with everyone. They may have conflicts with countries but nothing big because of the fact that they are nice to all the countries and have the US as their strongest ally.

The predominant religions are Christianity and Islam. Its 63% Christianity and 35% Islam, are the percentage of people who believe in these predominant religions. They are 2% of the rest of the country that believe in something else but Christianity and Islam are the only 2 big religions. (World Geography)

This is the current status of my country of Tanzania. They are doing fairly well besides the extreme national debt they are in and their economy is in terrible shape. They are strong due to the fact that the US is a very strong ally to them and they don’t really have many enemies. So they are a somewhat strong and are doing well. I feel if they get rid of their debt and economy starts to boom for them then they could become a very strong country that is not frowned upon.
